My Path Through The Flames

The Struggle Continues

Written By: Tammie - Apr• 01•12

What a week!  Not sure what else I can say except WHAT A WEEK!

Very busy, overwhelming and just draining.  So how do you keep on track with that kind of stress?  Well you do the best you can.  Cripes! Seriously how do people do it?

I am still suffering from the crappy food on the cruise ship and I think I also picked up some kind of parasite.  Every time I eat my gut ties in knots and I just want to vomit, I have vomited several times this week.  Sorry for the visual folk.

I exercised almost every day, was kind of crappy weather so I walked a couple of days but the rest I hid out in my exercise room on the stationary bike.  My eating was hit and miss, when you tummy is not happy it is hard to get excited about food and I found myself just eating to get rid of the hunger feeling so not so brilliant.

So this week starts a parasite cleanse, YIPEE!  Urgh, I am so not good at being consistent with these things but I will again do my best.  This is now my mantra.  If your interested in joining in with my cleanse check out www.knowledgeproducts.ca

Knowledge has by far the best cleanses I have ever used, are easy to follow and you feel great after you are finished.  Come on join in, I shouldn’t be the only one doing this!

There are days I get completely disappointed because staying on track when you have a busy life is so hard. It is easier to just grab something and make an excuse not to exercise; this is where the mental part comes in.  Instead of skipping a meal or just grabbing some pre-made crap, I really need to talk myself into taking the time to take care of myself and make something nutritious.  The same with exercising; I feel awesome after an hour walk but 10 minutes before I lace up my shoes, it is a struggle going on in my brain as to what is the big deal if I just skip it.  I can come up with a dozen reasons why I don’t have time to get my ass out the door or on the bike.

I am also realising that to make this a permanent change it is probably for me about 80% mental. As a mother, business owner and someone who takes on a lot of responsibility, I need to take more time for myself and do what is best for me first when it comes to my health.

Easier said than done!
